What to Expect!

How does it work?

It uses deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance that the body uses to breakdown and absorb dietary fat. Once injected, it causes fat cell destruction, so fat cells can no longer store and accumulate fat.
How is it done?

It typically takes 2-3 sessions, sometimes more. Each session is 15-20 minutes in the office that consist of a series of small injections in the area being treated under the chin.
Most common side effects?

Include swelling, bruising, pain, numbness, redness and hardness in the area being treated.
Will Kybella leave my skin loose?

Not at all nor will Kybella tighten your skin. It works solely on the fat under your skin only.
Do Kybella injections hurt?

While evryone is different and we all have different pain thresholds, most people who have Kybella injections experience no more than a slight, burning sensation. Dr. Mantor will numb the area prior to the injection to help reduce any discomfort.
