ACNE SCAR mitigation with LASEMD Ultra

What to Expect.

Within the first 24 hours post-procedure, you may experience slight swelling, a mild heat sensation, and/or redness, which generally subsides within 1-2 days.

During the 2-7 days following the treatment, it is normal for red and brown spots to darken and for the skin to take on a lightly suntanned appearance. The skin may feel dry and have a sandpaper-like texture for the first 5-7 days. After about a week, your skin will become noticeably smoother.

While blistering is rare, it can occur. Should you develop any blisters, please contact our office immediately.

Visible improvements are typically noticeable within 1-2 weeks. The skin continues to improve up to a month after treatment, with further enhancements following subsequent treatments. For optimal results, most patients require 2-4 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart.



Our Recommendations

• To maintain a youthful glow and prevent future skin damage, we recommend monthly treatments.
  
• Schedule your procedure at least one week before any significant event.
  
• Avoid facials, electrolysis, threading, extensive sun exposure, or any other laser treatments for at least one week prior to the procedure.
  
• Refrain from picking or scrubbing your skin.
  
• Steer clear of tanning or sunburns for two weeks before and four weeks after the procedure.
  
• Do not use cosmetics containing alcohol, Retinol, or AHA for at least one week post-procedure.
  
• Discontinue all topical products, except for a plain moisturizer, gentle cleanser, and sunscreen, two days before the procedure.
  
• If you have a history of cold sores or acne, please inform us beforehand.
