How is the Y-LIFT® Performed?

The procedure begins with the insertion of a specialized blunt titanium instrument beneath the skin and muscle. This instrument lifts the muscles, and FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers are then injected to hold the muscles in their newly elevated positions. The strength of the muscles maintains the filler in place, providing lift and preventing sagging. The face is then manually sculpted to achieve the desired look. Unlike regular filler injections, filler is not injected into the skin, and there is absolutely no use of needles.

  • How is the Y Lift® Performed?

    The procedure is a quick and relatively painless procedure performed using only local anesthesia and FDA approved injectable fillers. There are no incisions needed for the Y Lift. The entire procedure takes about 15 minutes to 30 minutes on the average. It can be truly considered a “lunch-time” facelift. Some results are seen immediately.

  • What makes the Y Lift® procedure so different?

    A patented blunt titanium cannula is inserted beneath the skin and muscle, creating a pocket between the soft and hard tissues. An FDA and Y LIFT® approved hyaluronic acid-based filler is then injected into this pocket and is sealed within it. This imitates the lost bone and in turn lifts the soft tissues up, returning them to their youthful, taut position, preventing sagging and promoting longevity.

  • May I get the Y-Lift treatment done on the same day as my consultation with Dr. Mantor?

    Given the minimally invasive nature of the Y LIFT®, no prior testing is necessary. Most patients choose to undergo the procedure on the same day as their consultation. We allocate ample time for a comprehensive facial analysis followed by the 30-45 minute procedure.

  • What dermal fillers are used with the Y-Lift?

    To ensure patient safety, longevity, and optimal outcomes, the Y LIFT® is exclusively performed using FDA-approved Restylane®. This hyaluronic acid-based filler is essential for the procedure. It is important to note that the Y LIFT® is not authorized for use with any other dermal fillers.

  • Can the effects of the Y-Lift treatment be reversed?

    Yes. The Y LIFT® is one of the few procedures that is completely reversible.
